Consultant profile

Dr Tee Shwu Hoon is a consultant dermatologist. Besides Puchong Specialist Clinic, she is also practising at the Columbia Asia Puchong Hospital and Lifecare Diagnostic Centre at Cheras South. She also plays the role as a guest lecturer for the Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Chinese Medicine programme at the International Medical University (IMU) since the year of 2022 due to her enthusiasm for promoting education. She previously served as the Head of Dermatology Unit at the Department of Medicine, Sultan Idris Shah Serdang Hospital.

Dr Tee obtained her medical degree from the International Medical University (IMU) in Malaysia. She then went on to specialise in internal medicine and obtained her Membership of the Royal College of Physicians. She was awarded the Advanced Master in Dermatology (UKM) after completing her dermatology training in Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahima Klang and Kuala Lumpur Hospital.  

Dr Tee has been actively participating in various activities in training and teaching junior doctors. She was the coordinator of the Dengue Clinical Practice Guideline Workshop during her service as a physician at the Selayang Hospital. She was also a committee member in organising the MRCP UK(PACES) examination. She was awarded the Anugerah Perkhidmatan Cemerlang Perkhidmatan Awam by the Jabatan Kesihatan Negeri Selangor in 2012.

She is registered with the Specialist Registry of Malaysia and an active member of the Dermatological Society of Malaysia.

Dr Tee’s special interest is treating skin conditions related to medical dermatology such as eczema, urticaria, skin infections and infestations, acne and psoriasis. Besides diagnosing and treating common dermatological conditions, she endeavours to share the knowledge with her patients in recognition and prevention of diseases.

  1. Consultation and treatment for common skin conditions such as eczema, rashes, urticaria, acne, psoriasis, skin infections and infestations, sexually transmitted diseases, skin manifestations related to medical illnesses, nail infections, drug and food allergy
  2. Health promotion regarding lifestyle, diet and measures with regards to disease management and prevention
  3. Blood testing for food allergy
