Dr Florence Lok is a Consultant Paediatrician at Puchong Specialist Clinic, Selangor.
She graduated with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Malaya in 1994. Following her graduation, she did her housemanship at University Hospital Kuala Lumpur (UHKL) and served as a Medical Officer in the Paediatric Department in Hospital Mentakab.

In 1996, she continued to work as a Medical Officer in UHKL and at the same time began her postgraduate training in paediatrics. On completion of her Masters program at University of Malaya(UM), Dr. Florence joined the Department of Paediatrics at UM as a Lecturer and
Paediatrician where she served from 2000-2003. In this role, she was actively involved in both patient care and academic responsibilities, including teaching medical students, training junior doctors, and contributing to clinical research. She was a Bill Marshall Fellow at the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in May-August 2001.

After her tenure at the University Hospital, Dr. Florence transitioned into the private healthcare sector in 2003, where she further expanded her clinical practice. Over the years, she has worked as a Resident Paediatrician, first at Taman Desa Medical Centre, then at Columbia Asia Hospital Puchong.

After more than 9 years of hospital-based practice, she established her own clinic, Klinik Pakar Kanak-kanak Florence in 2012, located in Bandar Puteri Puchong, before taking up her current position at Puchong Specialist Centre. During her solo practice, she provided healthcare service in a community setting, offering children dedicated, continuous care to support their health and development, while providing parents with guidance and reassurance at every stage.

Her scope of healthcare service includes preventive care such as immunisations, growth and
developmental assessments, and nutrition counselling, as well as the diagnosis and
management of common childhood illnesses. She has particular interests in nutrition and
allergies, and values clear communication with families, to provide care that is practical,
attentive and suited to each child’s needs.

Dr Florence is registered with the National Specialist Registry of Malaysia and is a member of the Malaysian Paediatric Association(MPA).
